The Latest News...

After many years of breeding my lovely goldens, I have retired.  Feel free to contact me for puppy referrals as I can refer you to a good breeder.

Note: One of my past customers who has my dogs' bloodlines just had a litter of puppies and they will be ready July 6th, 2018. Any more info on this, please contact me at gabrielsark@aol.com or call me at 248-752-7000 and I can pass on their info.

The Kennel and property in Farmington Hills are now for sale. If interested, please contact me at above info.

I have enjoyed the many people I have met and have become good friends with many of you.  After over twenty years, I look forward to less "work" but it was such fun work!  I hope to keep in touch with many of you.

With much affection to all of you, Micki

Golden Dog Blog

Welcome to my new "updated" website. I have created this for my future and past customers in order that they would be able to communicate with me and other people who have purchased my dogs. For some time I have wanted a way to communicate with everyone about things like "bad" dog foods, up-to-date info on health or anything that I feel you might like to know. Hopefully this will help and it will also offer you an opportunity to communicate with others who have purchased puppies from me. An example would be if you wanted to get all the puppies from the same litter together and have a reunion...or the same mother...like Bonnie who just turned 15 in November. I will be posting updates from time to time so please take time to read this. If you have any questions let me know...as always, if you need to talk to me please email me directly at gabrielsark@aol.com or call me at 248 626 2243.. Thanks! Micki

Great AKC Wellness - The Barking Bulletin

Posted by Webmaster in Untagged

The AKC Pet Healthcare Plan recognizes that veterinary care and treatments for your pet is ever changing. We try to keep up with these trends to ensure that you and your pet have the most comprehensive insurance plans available. Much like the human healthcare industry, every year old methodologies and processes are being challenged and newer technology and thought processes are introduced. One of the age old practices currently being challenged is the way we vaccinate our pets. It has sparked a heated debate over which method is better; giving annual vaccinations or taking a blood sample for vaccine titers? As a result, the AKC Pet Healthcare Plan now offers vaccine titer coverage on our Wellness Plus Plan.

Understanding warning signs, prevention and treatment is critical to help reduce the risk of death if bloat should occur.

Website Questions or Suggestions?

Hello to all!

I'm Scott and the builder of the new Chiendorgoldens.com website! I built this site for my mom (Micki) as a Christmas present.  I kept asking her what she would like for Christmas but she didn't know.  I offered to "upgrade" her website as I felt it would be great to have interaction from other golden retriever dog owners. :)

After one month I am pleasantly surprised with all who have joined and interacted with the website! The pictures are great to see!

Still Falling in Love

Posted by strumr606 in Untagged

After putting my 10 year old golden down this past August, I was a complete wreck. Thankfully, my dad's partner passed the word along about Micki and her fantastic dogs. We went in, like most do, "just to look". In about an hour, we had put our deposit down! I can remember walking in and instantly connecting with my little guy. I never believed in love at first sight until seeing that adorable little puppy and knowing that we were meant for each other. 3 months later and I am still falling in love every day. From the first time he "smiled" at me, to his first play day outside. Everything he does melts my heart. We are so lucky to have found one another, and I am so thankful to have him around to help heal me after the loss of my C.C. In Micki's words, I just had love left over to give.

Dog "understood" Master's Death

Posted by Webmaster in Untagged

Webmaster

Here is an article from the Animal Doctor, Dr. Michael Fox:

Dear Dr. Fox — I'm writing in response to your recent column about how a "dog's devotion to master can lead to the grave." It is similar to what occurred with our golden retriever more than 20 years ago when my husband died at 46 after a four-year battle with cancer. During my husband's illness, Friday laid beside his bed, provided support when my husband walked, and never left his side. He obviously knew something was wrong and was devoted to his master.
